BECAUSE HE LIVES - 1995

Because He Lives was staged in December of 1995 at Trinity Methodist Church, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; as a fund raising concert for the Seminari Theoloji Malaysia Building Fund as they were planned to move from their premises in Petaling Jaya which had been leased from St Francis Xavier Church to a new purpose built campus in Seremban. Seminari Theoloji Malaysia was formed in 1979 as a joint Anglican, Evangelical Lutheran and Methodist venture in theological education in Malaysia. The material for our production was based largely on the musical "Alleluia the Praise Continues" an evergreen work and carried the theme of being able to experience the difficulties in life with God's sustenance. Chew Mei Lee, a legal counsel and cancer survivor shared her experiences as part of this theme and the musical was a moving experience.
